Listening In: Recent Conversations on Sound, Silence & Healing

Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of joining several beautiful conversations centered around sound, presence, and healing. Each dialogue offered a unique opportunity to reflect, listen, and share—with hosts who are deeply engaged in the transformative power of music and sound.

While I don’t often gather these moments in one place, it felt like a good time to pause and offer a roundup of some recent interviews and events. If any of these resonate, I’d love for you to listen in.

🎶 Sacred Sounds Summit with Shannon Brown

As part of the Sacred Sounds Summit, I was invited by visionary Shannon Brown to explore the theme:
“The Practice of Presence: Sound, Silence & Embodied Listening.”
Together, we discussed the subtle power of listening, the role of silence in healing, and the ways sound can open us to deeper states of awareness. The session also includes a sound meditation featuring octave mandolin, flute, voice, and violin.
It was a grounded, heart-centered conversation, and I’m grateful for Shannon’s thoughtful presence and care in holding the space. You can watch the full conversation and sound meditation here: Natalie on Sacred Sounds Summit

🎧 Sing to Thrive Podcast – Hosted by Julia Williamson & Maddy Monacelli

I was recently a guest on the Sing to Thrive Podcast for a soul-stirring episode titled:
“Harmonizing Health: Sound as Medicine.”
In this episode, we explored the intersections of music, wellness, and inner resonance—touching on both the practical and poetic dimensions of sound healing. It was a joy to be on the other side of the mic for a change (I'm usually the one hosting!) and to share more of my personal journey through this work.

Julia and Maddy brought such curiosity and depth to the conversation, and I truly enjoyed the flow we shared. I'm honored to share this conversation with you—feel free to watch and listen here: Natalie on Sing to Thrive Podcast

🌍 18th International Globe Sound Healing Conference

I had the pleasure of presenting at the 18th International Globe Sound Healing Conference, a gathering of insightful voices in the field of sound healing.
My session began with a short violin sound bath and continued with my talk,
“Between Sound and Silence: The Art of Listening and Resonance.”
It was a gift to speak on this topic—one that lives at the heart of my work—and to connect with fellow practitioners and listeners. I also had a rich and meaningful exchange with conference founder David Gibson, who continues to cultivate such a vital and vibrant space for sound healers around the world. Tune in to the full session and sound journey here: Natalie on the Globe Sound Healing Conference

If you feel drawn to any of these conversations, I hope you’ll take a moment to listen. Each one is a small portal into the practice of presence, the poetry of resonance, and the unfolding art of listening—together.

With gratitude,
– Natalie Brown
